Avila Camping Trip

Avila Beach Camping Trip
September 2010

We had a great time camping in Avila. It was a trip of many firsts, our first time visiting Avila Valley Barn, our first time riding on the 3 mile Bob Jones Trail, and our first time having Clam Chowder at the Splash Cafe. Yum!

 Ellie loves to say "apple"...

Nicholas ran wild through the apple orchard and ended up with a LARGE bag of apples...:)

There is nothing that makes me happier then spending time with my family...

Ellianah's First Dance

First Dance

Our family had the priveledge of attending the wedding of one of Randy managers. As guests of the bride we were already reflecting that some day OUR little girl was going to get married (Lord willing) ...and seeing her dance with Randy for the first time touched my heart so deeply. I picked up mt camera and got these shots...not perfect, but so sweet...

Mom's Visit

We had some time to visit with mom after our anniversary trip! She stayed with us for about three weeks and as usual it was jam packed...we went over to the coast (beacause what is a trip to California without seeing the ocean?), took a tour of Kearney Mansion, played miniature golf and had a "Camp Rock" night!

Unfortunately Randy won...AGAIN! It seems no matter how large my lead on the first 9, I crack under the pressure...:(
One of these days I WILL beat him!

Kearney Mansion

Camp Rock Night

For the premiere of Camp Rock , we decided to make a celebration out of it. We roasted marshmallows on the firepit, made camp necklaces, played a rainbow scavenger hunt, and watched the premiere.

Yes, I know his shirt is backwards...and so does he...hey, pick your battles, right?

For our rainbow scavenger hunt I hid washable markers inside and outside. The family had to find each of the markers and color their hand with each one. The first person to return with all the colors of the rainbow won!

Nicholas's 11th Birthday Party

For Nick's party we had a "Minute Madness" party based on the game show minute to win-it. We played games that all had to be completed in 60 seconds or less. Here is the birthday boy trying to get al the 10's, Jacks, Queens, Kings and Aces divided into seperate piles by flipping them over one at a time...

Church BBQ

We had a great time with mom...and can't wait till her next visit!
